I'm meeting up with the ticket bearers in the Camden Kitchen should be there from 6.30-7.00pm if you do want to come. Hopefully anyone who's ineterested has my phone number but I constantly check email anyway!
option in my quiz yesterday, about the skullcandy headphones, was
meant to be a "hilarious" joke answer, for people who wanted to choose
a point and laugh at dan option. Sorta the equivalent of the "1% said
frank lampard" thing.......
Unless some of you can honestly see me on my way to work in a full
suit, wearing zebra print headphones ;)
the thing they use is nothing like a syringe, so I have no idea why they
call it that, other than to instill FEAR in those of us who hate
needles.....
in the end a piece of wax the size and shape of one of those small
earplugs came out of my right ear (and I can now hear perfectly - strange
that), I was particularly relieved since the fist time I couldn't hear
happened when I was swimming and my ear went BAND and properly hurt and I
was totally scared I'd done proper damage..... bad news is the left ear
ended up with the nuse (accidentally) scratching me with the look-in-ears
tool, to the point where it cause me to bleed, so I've gotta go back to
get that ear finished (it's better but hilariously it's now my "bad ear"
Think is, the nurse said that the cause of all the wax build up, is the
fact I constantly use ear bud headphones, for at least 2 hours *every*
day, and if I want to keep my hearing decent, I should stop using ear-buds
and start using on-ear headphones (apparently the ear-buds irritate hairs
inside the ear, causing more wax to be produced etc etc)..... so I've gone
back to using the headphones which the lady R used to refer to as my
"cyberman pair" (oh the hilarity) for the mean while.... but it's got me
thinking, *should* I actually trust what she says.... I mean timescale
wise, my hearing did get more blocked around the time I got my first pair
of shure earphones, but that could easily be coincidence, (my hearing's
been shite for years), and the thing about in the earphones is they alow
you to listen to music on the tube without a) making you look like too
much of a twat, and b) without having an unsightly bulge in your coat
pocket all day (coupled with the fact that the reason I got the ipod I
did, was that I like small things which don't cause unslightly bulges.....
so el jay, I ask you:

the hearing back in my right ear, I'm rather inclined to play it safe.....
anyone got any recomendations for ear plugs which won't make me look *too*
twatish, while also stopping damaging my now oh-so-precious restored
hearing?

I think this would probably be a good time to start investigting MBV as I've never really been grabbed by what I've heard of them, and I think primal screem are a much better band when kevin sheilds isn't in them........
any ideas where I should start looking?
I also intend to do all I can to avoid sonic youth, the horrors and lightning bolt..... while catching mum, the pains of being pure at heart, primal scream, josh t pearson, the dirty three and buzzcocks
anyone else I should pay attention to - line up is here
how long do you think it took between me taking a tie out of the "back from the dry cleaners" packing and me accidentally dipping it in my lunch?
obviously the only reason it was at the dry cleaners was that I spilt food on it in the first place......
